Tokyo Override focuses on Kai, a hacker living in a digitally “perfect” Tokyo. One day, after getting caught (and escaping from) the police, she runs into a group of delivery people on their way to deliver a tagless boy to where he can be safe. With nowhere else to go, Kai joins the group as they run various deliveries, such as getting a heart transplant to the hospital, throughout Tokyo while avoiding the police.

Oh…kay…In episode 4, I see why Netflix placed a gore disclaimer. Oh boy, rough. Other than that, the episode returns to a bit calmer appearance. The twist ending was unexpected. I appreciated that episode 5 started off where the cliffhanger ended. One of the earlier episodes ended on a cliffhanger but then the next episode went kinda normal for a while like they forgot about it.

I did find the scene where they reveal everything to be slightly rushed. It was like one minute they were slowly putting everything together then the next they knew the whole plot. I felt a little like, “Where did that come from?” but I didn’t mind much as it still fit in.

The ending was pretty awesome. Lots of cool music; lots of action; and the expressions on the faces of characters were top notch—you could see the moment when the mastermind realized they were in trouble.

As for a final review, the season is only 6 episodes: the action, twists, and mystery make it a fun show. Not to mention the motorcycles racing around. It did feel like the characters didn’t grow much, but there was some growth. It did feel like it was rushed at times; but overall, it was a fun show that is worth watching, especially if you like cyber-shows and motorcycles.

Final review: 4.6/5. Fun, exciting show but the warehouse scene in episode 4 might be too much for younger viewers.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Until the next wormhole…thanks for reading!
