The first few chapters of At the Mountain of Madness by H.P. Lovecraft was tough going. The detailed, analytical, descriptions of events kept making me drowsy. I nearly fell asleep a few times.
When the narrator and the team arrived at the first team’s campsite, it got a little more interesting, but I was still having a hard time. A lot of the overly scientific descriptions made it hard to picture what was going on or what things looked like. But once, they arrived at the city in the mountains, or behind the mountains, it got more interesting and slightly spooky.
Until the next wormhole…thanks for reading!
