David Bobkins was Joe Rover’s friend until jealousy caused him to make a deal with the Masters of the Dark Arts.
David discovered that Joe’s werewolf curse caused their whole class to gain powers, to various degrees, except for him. How could Joe give powers to everyone but his friend? David fumed. He turned to the Masters of the Dark Arts, or the Shadow Government. In exchange for his servitude, they gave him the power of necromancy. David could control the Lost Souls of Limbo as well as use mind control and create illusions via hypnosis.
To get his revenge on his class, and Joe, he attempted to hypnotize his class during a talent show. Fortunately, Joe and some allies were able to stop him.
David’s power comes from his colorful sugar skull-like guitar. It is easily damaged, thus ending his power, but it will eventually restore itself. David is also able to mix his Mexican and Louisianan heritage to boost his already frightening talents.
