DOOM THE DARK AGES Walkthrough Gameplay Part 1 – INTRO (FULL GAME) via theRadBrad
I’m so terrible. When the mounted hunter arrived, all I could think was “De-mon jock-ey!”

The Capture, the sixth story in the graphic novel Animorphs series by Chris Grine—adapted from the novel by K.A. Applegate and Michael Grant, explores what happens if one of the Animorphs was possessed by a Yeerk.

Grine’s adaptation of the book, just like in the other five, was spot on. I felt like I was reading an Animorphs book…but with pictures. And the scenes of the Animorphs morph is still disturbing. However, it did seem like Grine’s adaptation was a little tamer than the original version. Maybe I’m just older and so the plot didn’t seem as frightening, but I remember being terrified during this story when I read the book.
I liked how Grine showed that the Yeerk was in control of Jake by graying out Jake during the “in his head” moments. I also thought the slow graying/fading of the Yeerk as it died was a nice touch.
4.8/5
- Story flowed well.
- Expressions on the characters was well done, looked real.
- Some of the characters looked a little too similar making me have to take a second look to understand who was in the scene. It was mostly between Jake and Tom, who are brothers, so it makes sense that they would look similar.
- Nice balance between comedy and suspense.
Until the next wormhole…thanks for reading!
