“This is Sally Pine with another WAG News Story Byte.
“The city can once again sleep peacefully knowing that the immortal assassin known as Kit is behind bars. The hybrid cat-man was allegedly hired to assassinate the CEO of Wonder Meat Inc. According to PAWS, Kit was hired by rival company Meat ‘n Stuff.”
“Here he comes!” someone in the crowd shouted.
Sally and her camera operator rushed towards the PAWS agents transporting KIt. The agents, dressed in the purple, green, and gold uniforms of PAWS, sighed and rolled their eyes upon seeing the impending newshound. Next to them, a chained and cuffed Kit shuffled along with his head down. PAWS already stripped him of his orange and black tabby cat-like exosuit. He still, however, had cat-like ears and green cat-like eyes. He had cat-like fangs in his mouth, whiskers sticking out from his cheeks, and a tail.
Even without his suit, Kit is formidable. Along with being immortal, he can fire energy hairball; he is acrobatic, flexible, and possesses cat-like reflexes; and he has cat-like senses, including night vision and super-hearing.
“Kit!” said Sally.
Kit kept dodging left and right, trying to stay out of the camera’s sight. He wasn’t worried about anyone uncovering his secret identity–he didn’t have one.
“Kit,” said Sally, blocking the agents path to the law enforcement vehicle, “how is it that PAWS caught a master assassin like yourself?”
Kit’s cheeks flushed red, and he kept his eyes low. He mumbled something.
“I’m sorry. I couldn’t hear that,” said Sally.
Kit sighed. His shoulder looked like he had a mountain pressing on them. “Sleep deprivation.” Sally and the camera operator exchanged a confused look. “The target wasn’t where he was supposed to be. I waited and waited until finally…I feel asleep, OK!?”
Sally and the camera operator tried really hard not to laugh.
“Cats need a lot of sleep,” he said twitching his shoulder into an angry pout. “It’s a fact.”
Everyone broke into laughter.
