The book was definitely something. It was intense but not overly frightening. You felt fear and you worry about the characters, but it’s like reading a superhero novel or fairy tale; you know that everything is going to be okay.

The main characters, Al and Mallory, were well developed. You can feel their struggles. Sadie, the daughter, isn’t as much developed, but she is only six. However, you see bits from her perspective, she sounds like a 6-year-old.

The descriptions of the demon and the sack will send shivers down your spine. You can feel the weight of the snow.

I like how the battle with the demon connects with the wife and husband’s problems.

The story is also short. I finished it in one day!

But I do think I made a mistake reading it near Krampus Night.

What was that sound? It sounded like…clanking…like old chains. Why did it get so cold all of a sudden? Are those footsteps I hear? Large, thundering footsteps.

AAAAAHHHH!!!
