So far, I’m diggin’ the new season of Fortnite.
I liked that they changed things up a bit by getting rid of the Battle Bus (thank heavens The Bus Driver is all right), but I am also glad that the Bus is Back. I’m glad that Epic Games decided to have it so you surf to the Island or take the bus. It’d be nice if you could choose but the randomness is okay too.
I do like it better that you have a wider option of landing spots with the bus. However, “shooting the curl” with surfing is fun too. And by shooting the curl, I mean doing a flip if you ride to the top of the wave. Otherwise there’s not much else to do. Although, there’s not much else to do while riding the bus. You actually get to do more while surfing, and you can see your character.
I do have to agree with some other people who’ve said that they hope Epic looks into various means of traveling to the Island. Then again, there is something to be said about the classics. Also, if they kept changing it up all the time, that’d get really annoying. Hmm, maybe sticking with the Battle Bus is the best. I kind of missed it while it was gone.

I’m not sure about the loot pool. While there are some interesting weapons, I keep finding only common and uncommon. Now and then, I pick up a rare or epic, but those are mostly the new ones. I must have terrible luck with chests.
I’m also not a big fan of the gold not carrying over. Kind of makes picking it up pointless. Although with all the piles laying around, I’m not sure people picked it up before this. I wonder if they changed it back to carrying over because it looked like gold was in the Blitz Royale mode. There’s nothing to buy in that mode…unless they added something.
One of my favorite things this season is the set tabs in the Battle Pass. I love that I can choose which set I want to focus on. I was able to unlock Marty McFly, a character that would normally be level 80 or so, on the first day. It’d been nice if they continued this forever. But I can see people only opening the sets they want instead of spending a ton of vbucks/money on buying levels so they can unlock the skins they want. It used to be if you wanted a level 80 character, and you were level one, you had to unlock everything under that character, which meant spending vbucks or grinding…Now, you can pick.
I did notice that there’s no secret skin or super level skins. Hmm…
