Cujo but on a global scale.

A virus causes all canines to attack humans.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
  • Intense descriptions during suspenseful moments
  • The conflict starts right away; Derek’s dog disappears. It gets a little slow as it builds up to the main event but then picks up.
  • Some typos and missing words
  • Short read that you can finish in about a day
  • Sometimes it felt like there were scenes missing
  • Derek sounded like a kid; he talked like he should. His older brother acted like a kid becoming a teenager.
  • I liked how the parents are always “Mom” and “Dad.” It was like the book was sort of from Derek’s POV but it was also pulled back far enough that it didn’t seem too child-like.
