Megaton City
The home of Dogboy/Joe Rover and The Pack.
The original settlers called it New Town.
The original settlers discovered the Omnigate inside Neo-Geo.
The settlers messed with the Omnigate causing everyone to vanish leaving only buildings and belongings.
The next settlers called it Newton.
After the Alpha-Zeta War (World War III), Newton was renamed Megaton City.
Megaton City was once protected by a shield dome. It has since been removed, except for in emergencies, because of the numerous times it was hacked. The dome provided the people with a fake scene of the “uninhabitable” Badlands. Eventually, the truth was revealed, and the dome largely decommissioned.
Neo-Geo Mountain
About 30 miles from Megaton City.
Large mountain with snow capped peaks.
Used to be 50 miles away until it was woken. In 2012, people supporting the public knowledge of transbeings woke the golem-mountain and ordered it to attack Newton.
Neo-Geo is a sleeping golem created by the Seed of Creation (aka the Gate of Eden) to protect the Omnigate and the Martian Gate of Eden/Creation Sphere inside. The Sphere was taken to BLT Tower; the Omnigate was taken to the ILOST Clubhouse.
The area around the mountain is desolate because the Omnigate and Sphere have siphoned off the nearby life force trying to repair the damage done to them. The area is virtually devoid of animal and plant life.
Badlands and UnPlug Settlements
Dotted around the area are the UnPlug settlements, towns similar in appearance to the late 1990s (before the timeline shift).
The government claimed the Badlands were uninhabitable because of the nuclear radiation. In reality, the nuclear missiles did not impact the site. The area is a lush, green meadow-like area with trees, plants, and animals.
Nightstone National Park
About 100 miles from Megaton City.
Created from Neo-Geo “spill off.” Phantasmic energy spilled out from the Sphere after it crashed creating the famous geyser fields, along with the Plains Biome, Mountain Biome, Forest Biome, Desert Biome, and many more.
Nightstone gets its name from the super-charged (phantasmic) stones found within the park. These stones will glow at night creating a spectacular sight.
Nightstone, with its many biomes, has become a wildlife sanctuary for many rare and not so rare animals and plants.
Phantasmic Harvest Zone
Seven different companies mine and harvest the phantasmic energy and matter. The companies are owned and operated by the seven dwarf clans. Only dwarves can safely harvest the “magical” stones.
The clans bicker 98 percent of the time.
Roger-Wilco Military Base
In the original timeline, the Roger-Wilco base was one of the many bases taken over by the monster hunters and other transbeing haters during the Alpha-Zeta War. The hunters launched all the nuclear bombs in the world ushering in the Great Catastrophe.
After the Catastrophe, the base was the base of operations for the group creating the time machine. The time machine would hopefully prevent the Great Catastrophe.
In the current timeline, it was named as one of the bases taken over by the UnPlugs during the Alpha-Zeta War. The UnPlugs launched the missiles creating all the Badlands across the globe. This was a lie. No siege happened. No missiles launched.
Roger-Wilco is currently a normal military base running normal operations waiting for its destiny at the end of the world.
Beyond the Megaton City Area
During the Alpha-Zeta War many major cities were abandoned as people sought out relatively quieter places. After the war, some were rebranded and mostly restored or outright moved somewhere else, like Neon City (New York), New Miami and East Miami, Lost Vegas, Sans Fresco (San Francisco), Holywoo (aka Hollywood), and Circuit Bay (Seattle).
Others became ghost towns populated by the homeless, runaways, or others who wish remain anonymous for various reasons, such as Old Chicago and the City of No Angels (Los Angeles).
Some, like Washington D.C. were largely unaffected.
To end the Alpha-Zeta War, without destroying the world in a nuclear holocaust, the world governments created the Love Bug, a bio and chemical weapon created to force people to be tolerant of each other. The retrovirus had mixed results. It did end the war, and it did bring people closer together…sort of. Neighboring countries became closer while still being “suspicious” of others. Some alliances allow the countries to run things like they normally did, such as presidents or parliaments. Others decided there should be one ruler.
The alliances include:
American Alliance
All of North and South America. Countries operate mostly independently. Illegal border crossings are a thing of the past.
United Lands of Africa
All of Africa. An elected president and congress runs it all, similar to the US but without state governments. Does have local authorities for towns and cities. Villages are few and under ULA control.
European Union
All of Europe: UK, Germany, Italy, etc. Operates mostly as it had, but has a central government. It is similar to how the US works: local and state governments but a federal government in D.C.
Ireland has a high level of phantasmic energy because of the Blarney Stone, which is a piece of the Martian Sphere that broke off during the crash. This higher level of “magic” created fairies, leprechauns, and so on.
The Black Forest, aka the Forbidden Forest, is an area of wild magic. A piece of the Martian Sphere landed here creating the untamed magic. Woodcutters are regularly called in to try and keep the forest from spreading.
Vatican City
Isolation allowed it to largely be unaffected by the Love Bug. Still it’s own country. Laws and leadership is still the same as before. New departments have opened for study of science, technology, and transbeings (i.e. magic, aliens, monsters, etc). Rumors of a weapons development department (including bio and chemical weapons) are spreading.
Middle East Empire
Every Middle Eastern country. Leaders picked through religious means, similar to how the Pope is picked.
Russia
All of Russia, including the once Russian ruled countries nearby. Leadership is determined through a tournament. Whoever is the toughest, smartest, and most cunning wins. Tournament held every four years. Rules and regulations exist to keep it from being complete anarchy.
India
Like the Vatican, its isolation during the War left it mostly unchanged. However, it has become more like Switzerland and Sweden in its neutrality, since Switzerland and Sweden were swallowed up by the EU.
India was the location for Camp Cordon, a world government organization that abducted and tortured thousands of transbeing children.
Asian Coalition
All Asian countries, China, Japan, Korea, etc (minus India). Leadership is determined by who’s the best. Russia’s tournament is sanctioned and not-to-the-death. The tournament only happens once every four years. The Asian one is without rules and is 24/7. Samurai and ninjas “reinstated” to act as bodyguards and assassin.
Japan has the highest concentration of phantasmic energy in the world resulting in more transbeings, more advanced technology, and a higher rate of kaiju attacks.
Australia
Like the Vatican and India pretty much unchanged.
The starship (the Tjukurpa or Dreamtime) from the planet Australia crashed into Uluru (Ayers Rock). The impact caused some terraforming which resulted in the “strange” animals of Australia. The surviving aliens from the crash became the creation gods of the Aboriginal people.
Polar Frontiers
North and South Poles. The last “free” places on Earth. Many settlers wanting peace or space travel to these mysterious places. Along with the climate and the critters, they deal with the, uh, Unknown.
Settlers are known as hyperboreans.
Some call these “battles” with the Unknown: Hyperboreans and Cryptids. Some of these cryptids are not happy with the settlers moving into their territory.
Hallow Earth
Created when a rogue planet between Earth and Mars collided with Earth. Part of the pieces from the impact became the Moon while the surviving part of the planet was swallowed by the Earth and became a “hallow” underground section.
Hallow Earth is kept alive thanks to the Gate of Eden that was meant to create that rogue planet. Some believe that the rogue planet was from another star system.
Many strange and wondrous creatures call Hallow Earth home. Dragons, after being chased from the surface now live here. The Reptilians used to live there until they were wiped out.
Bermuda Triangle
AKA the Nexus of Reality. Every reality has a Bermuda Triangle that connects it to the Nexus. People, ships, planes go into the Triangle and vanish into the Nexus.
A storm created by the Martian Sphere acts as a barrier. Only specialized vehicles, powered by pieces of an ancient relic known as Jacob’s Ladder, can safely travel through it.
Sky City
Home to the Blue Light Technologies Tower and the abandoned NeuroSphere theme park.
Sky City is the last (known) floating city. It, like other flying cities, is kept aloft by the inhabitants’ unity. The inhabitants can have their own dreams and personalities, but they are one in “heart” (i.e. goals, morality, etc). Other flying cities, like Atlantis, crashed because of disharmony.
Looks like a futuristic utopian city.
Freedom Isle
The land many transbeings fled to during the Alpha-Zeta War.
Currently, the home for many transbeings wishing to live in peace and the base of operations for the International League of Super-Transbeings: the Clubhouse.
Some believe that Freedom Isle and Sky City are the same place but in separate timelines or dimensions.
Looks similar to Sky City.
Planes of Existence
Might be islands within the Bermuda Triangle, but probably not.
Utopia
The land of heroic or protagonist legends: Utopians. Land of peace and joy. Usually doesn’t get involved with “mortal” affairs–officially.
Dystopia
The land of villainous or antagonist legends: Dystopians. Land of misery and sadness. Loves to mess with “mortals.”
Utopia and Dystopia have been a war for a very long time.
The Afterlife
Seems pretty self-explanatory.
When you die outside of your home reality, you are forced back to your home. When you die in your home reality, you go to the Afterlife. When you die in the Afterlife, you are reborn in some reality.
Limbo
If you die outside of your home time period, you are erased from time and sent to Limbo as a Lost Soul. If a time shift results in you being erased or massively altered, you are sent to Limbo as a Lost Soul.
Eventually, Lost Souls are reborn inside the current timeline so they can enter the Afterlife. You can’t die if you never lived.
Angry or frustrated Lost Souls are the basis for ghosts, poltergeists, and some disasters.
Important Planets
The Grays
Aliens that once were humans but evolved into short, gray-skinned aliens with big heads, large black eyes, slender fingers, and low muscle mass because of their over dependence on technology. Their skin turned gray from lack of going outside; they also lost muscle mass and became shorter. Their fingers became slender so they could type and text more efficiently. Their eyes became large and black to see their screens better while also coating them in a protective filter so they don’t go blind. They reproduce through cloning because they are too busy being online to date.
The existence of the Grays lead to the Gray Area Law. A law making it so that people had to spend a certain amount of time offline each month.
A false group of Grays is also known. These fake Grays are humans in prototype interdimensional protection suits. The most famous misidentification being the crash at Roswell. The crash involved a prototype interdimensional craft created by the government. The “aliens” were human pilots and test subjects.
Most abductions by “Grays” are the result of government black ops “recruiting” new test subjects—not only for interdimensional travel experiments but time travel and superhuman/transbeing research. Others are from the actual Grays as they try to repair the damage done to their DNA, or they’re picking up their online order from the Rainbow Riders. (They’re not really all that social.)
The real Grays don’t mind the misidentification as long as they continue to know the Earth’s Wi-Fi password. Hey! You try going 60 light-years without an Internet connection.
Venus
Original Seed Sphere was destroyed just as it was beginning the Life cycle: bringing life to the planet. Became a hot, unpleasant place.
One day the Tektix people arrived bringing their Sphere to Earth. The Sphere attempted to terraform Earth into a new Tektix. Buddy Riggs (Copycat), the prince of Tektik (he didn’t know at the time), shutdown the Sphere. Later, the Tektixians and Buddy/Prince Budmore moved to Venus with their Sphere. It was discovered that the Tektixians were Earthlings from another reality. The Tekixians couldn’t survive here because they were not of this reality. They needed a place that could be altered to fit their quantum frequency.
Venus now looks like Tektix did, which is pretty much like Earth. On the outside, Venus looks pretty much the same because of the variations in quantum frequency. A vehicle equipped with a dimensional engine is required to travel there.
Mars
Cosmic Terrors sent by The Nothing damaged the Martian Seed Sphere sending it crashing into Earth. Mars remains the desolate planet we know, except for one area known as the Oasis. The Oasis was created by a piece of the Sphere that broke off.
Long ago, Mars was used as a prison for the worst criminals in the galaxy. Many of these criminals later became genies after drinking from the Oasis.
Sirius
It’s not a star but a planet. It has “evolved” to the point where it can make its own light.
It is home to the Sirian/Canine race, humanoid canines. They are the basis for the werewolf myth.
In their Garden of Eden, for whatever reason, two canines (not humans) ate the forbidden fruit and became intelligent. However, the fruit is “programmed” for humans so they became humanoid canines.
The Sirians are lead by the Council of Alphas. The leader of the Alphas receives the title “Orion.”
Their military/police force is called the Laelaps.
Procyon
The home planet of the Felines, humanoid felines. Like Sirius, it has its own power supply making it appear as if it is a star.
They think humans should worship them.
May be the home of the cat aliens that abducted Kit and turned him into an immortal assassin/mercenary.
Betelgeuse
The home planet of the Rodents, humanoid rodents. Like Sirius, it appears as a star. They, however, stole the power, so it is weaker causing it to look red.
Planet of sneaks and thieves gifted with the power to steal talent/powers from others.
They eventually became the foundation for vampires after stealing the power of flight from the Sirians.
Rastaban
Home of the Serpents/Serpentine, humanoid serpents.
Their venom is strong enough to corrupt or kill a dragon.
Australia
Fearing an attack from the Xacians, the people of Australia–who are humanoid kangaroos, koala bears, platypuses, and so on–sent their ark (a starship called Tukurpa) to find another planet. The ship crashed on Earth. The terraforming process began, though broken, creating the “strange” animals of the Australian continent.
It is unknown if the planet Australia survived the attack. It is unlikely given the vicious nature of the Xacian Empire.
Bob
Homeworld for a race that can only say the word “Bob.” The monks of Bob, known as the galaxy’s best mercenaries and spies (hard to get intel from someone who can only say “Bob”), trained La-Zar. No one knows what the people of Bob look like as they all wear cloaks or full body suits.
They worship the only person who can say, “Jeff.”
Alpha Centauri
The Xacian homeworld. Their government works similar to animal packs. The one who beats the previous leader becomes the leader.
The Xacians were a peaceful people for a long time after an Earthling surfer, somehow, arrived. He “challenged” the previous leader and became the new leader. The pervious leader wanted to retire and faked losing. Turned out that it was not the first time. It was a Dread Pirate Roberts sort of thing. Each leader, when they wanted to retired, found someone and threw the fight.
One day, Dingo, an exiled Sirian, arrived on the planet. He was found half dead drifting through space. The Xacians took him in. He repaid their kindness by killing the surfer (brutally) and taking over. The Xacian Empire was formed. They began their conquest of the galaxy.
Some Xacians oppose the Empire and wish to return to their “surfer” days.
Xacians look like humans, even to point that some are doubles for Earthlings. The only way to identify a Xacian is by their multi-colored hair and their snake and barcode tattoo.
