It started long ago when a piper with colorful clothing came to town. He promised to rid the town of its pest problem for a price. Three townspeople, however, knew of the piper’s reputation. They are only known as the Butcher, the Baker, and the Candlestick Maker.

The three tried to warn the town about the Piper. Instead, the people listened to the Piper and his silly song about them. The Butcher, Baker, and Candlestick Maker decided they would use their knowledge and skills to stop the Piper’s plan. They became the first Food Fighters.

Thankfully, they stopped the Piper and his scheme. Unfortunately, the Piper escaped.

The three Food Fighters vowed to protect their village from then on.

Over the years, more and more tradespeople joined. The group worked in secret keeping more and more villages safe from evil.

Centuries later, restaurant owners Jack and Jill joined.

Jack was known as Pendragon, since he was a descendant of King Arthur. He possessed a relic known as Arthur’s Crown that increased his physical attributes, and his weapon, Excalibur, made him nearly unbeatable.

Arthur and Guinevere’s child, Jack, later became known as Jack the Giant Killer, after finding some magic beans. Jack didn’t know of his heritage because of Guinevere’s “exile.”

Jill was known as Lady Avalon, since she was related to Merlin and the Lady of the Lake (who were Sirians—beings from Sirius). She possessed the gift of prescience, knowing the past, present, and future. She also possessed seemingly magical powers.

Jill and her family were also treasurer seekers, those who keep the relics of the past safe from those wishing to exploit them. Jack and Jill met while Jill and her fellow seekers were trying to retrieve the Crown and Excalibur.

Together, and with the other Food Fighters, they fought many foes over the years; including one that prophesied of a great trouble that would come. Then one day, one of their own betrayed them. He was known as Checkmate. He owned a chess themed restaurant. It turned out he worshipped a figure known as the Queen. With the Queen’s help, he created a disease that could only be cured with a special meal created from the Holy Mackerel. The Mackerel could only be caught in a well at the top of a mystic hill.

With most of the Food Fighters beaten, sick, or on the run from Checkmate’s betrayal, it was up to Jack and Jill. The pair climbed the dangerous hill. They made it to the top and retrieved the Holy Mackerel. Victory was close. It was then taken by Checkmate. He’d been waiting for them. He revealed that he was a descendant of Mordred and the Queen was Morgana, half frozen in some mystic stasis pod. He attacked the pair.

During the battle, Jack was knocked down the hill. Jill used the last of her mystical strength to banish Checkmate. She collapsed and tumbled down after Jack.

On the way down, the Crown was broken, taking away Pendragon’s powers and strength to wield Excalibur. The Crown pieces and Excalibur were taken to the treasure seekers’ vault within the Labyrinth.

Jill’s powers were severely weakened by her attack on Checkmate.

Fortunately, they had enough strength to cook the Holy Mackerel meal and end the plague.

However, fearing another attack from Checkmate’s followers, or from the organization known as Ether Operations, Jack and Jill changed their names. Instead of having Jack’s last name, Pendragon, they took on a name from Jill’s family—an ancient one known as Rover.

They moved from what one day would become an UnPlug settlement to the city of Newton, which one day would become Megaton City. They opened the Red Rover Restaurant and began their new lives.

As for the Food Fighters, they vanished from history. Most went into hiding.

King Arthur, the Pied Piper, the Butcher, Baker, and Candlestick Maker, Jack and the Beanstalk (and Jack the Giant Killer), the Labyrinth, and Jack and Jill all fall under public domain.
