Short Tail
“This is Sally Pine streaming from the WAG News newsroom. Earlier today, a malfunction caused Flight 771 to fall out of the sky. Fortunately, a team from the International League of Super-Transbeings was able to stop the plane’s tailspin and rescue the people. No one was hurt; not until they saw the price for their tickets back home. Don’t forget to like and subscribe so you can be updated with all the news from around the world.”
Daily Prompt
I missed yesterday’s daily prompt. I wanted to do it, but working on an upcoming video took longer than expected. The prompt was “What fictional animal companion would you want to spend the rest of your life with?”
I immediately thought “Wishbone.” You know, the small dog with the big imagination. The one that imagined himself as a character in classic literature.
I then figured I might need a backup just in case people didn’t know who Wishbone was. So, I thought of Scooby-Doo. But, I quickly realized I’d never be able to pay his food bill. (Same reason why I wouldn’t choose Garfield.) Plus, the Mystery Machine is always breaking down. I mean, Scooby’s food bill plus the cost of car repairs…yeesh. I guess the reward money for catching all those bad guys could help.
I decided on Krypto, aka Superdog. Not the new, wrecking ball with teeth Krypto, but the Krypto from the Krypto, The Superdog animated series. First, that Krypto has human intelligence and a universal translator. What could be better than a smart dog with superpowers that can talk to you?
Batman Day
The other thing I missed, again because of doing reviews and writing stories, was Batman Day. That’s a bummer man. But fortunately, I can make it up. I’ll just have to spend a day reading Batman comics and watching Batman movies. It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.
Creator Corner
I spent way too much time trying to figure out Final Cut Pro. I mainly was looking for a way to do audio and captions. It was a little bit overwhelming. I didn’t understand how to even start a project. Luckily, I could turn to Dylan Bates.

Of course, after that headache–and after I stopped hitting my head against a wall–I needed some time to chill.

Updates & News
Thanks to Dylan Bates’s video, I was able to finish my review video of The End of Oak Street. That should be coming out on YouTube “shortly.”
I also have a review of the Marvel’s Wolverine game coming to the blog “soonish.”
I have a short story video coming to YouTube “shortly,” and I’m working on another blog post, which just needs to be typed and edited.
I’m also reading Six-Gun Gorilla by Austin McConnell and the Kingdom of Zod arc/event from DC Comics.
Speaking of DC Comics, according to CBR, many comic book artists have parodied the Absolute Batman Issue 1 cover, including the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla.

So, I figured, why not. Here is my silly (and bad) parody using a work in progress book: Wrath of the Class President. I think it turned out pretty good.

Along with Wrath of the Class President, I’m working on some short stories.
And Finally…
Now for today’s prompt from WordPress.
It’d be writing. Sort of. It’d be realizing the theme/purpose of the series sooner so that I could work to that idea sooner. I would have liked to know my character better. I finally realized Dogboy is a mixture of Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and some Ian from Pixar’s Onward.
He’s got Superman’s heroic/hopeful nature; Batman’s gadgets (and sometimes brooding and over-planning); Spider-Man’s quips and comical nature; Wolverine’s fighting style and mysterious past; and he’s starting to learn some magic.
It would have been nice to realize where I was going with the series back at the beginning. Maybe I wouldn’t have gotten lost along the way.
Until the next wormhole…thanks for reading!
